Started in 1966 with a Ford 100E Prefect (1172cc sidevalve engine and only 3 forward gears!) but the list of cars and bikes from then I would still be typing this time tomorrow.......
Currently also have an Abarth 595 which is a real hoot, small enough to wear like a coat and just goes like the brown stuff off a shiny shovel, constantly amazed at what it will keep up with....
Proper licence basher if not very observant for the 'safety' Police money machines.
Good thread this proper petrol heads.

My first car was a 1949 Morris six, bought at auction for £15, after a couple of weeeks, I realised it was a bit of a dog so Isold it to a neighbour of my parents for £30.

I then bougt a 1937 SS Jaguar 2 1/2 litre.

This was followed by a 1947 Jaguar 3 1/2 litre,
Jag No 2.jpg
This was followed by a Mk V Jag And then I was posted to Bahrain for 12 months where I had the use of a 1926 Austin 7 which belonged to one of the pilots on the sqadron who couldn't get it to work.

On returning to the UK, I decided to get something smaller and newer so I bought a Triumph Spitfire which I kept for 18 years until someone drove into the back and wrote it off.

This was replaced with another one and there were also others over the years.
I discovered BMW in 1990 with the E30 325i which I had until I bought the Z in 2008.Shere hillclimb site.jpg
There have been many others but I am running out of space.

Not one of my own but my first ever allocated job car back in 1999. Ford Mondeo 2.5 ST.
Great in its day for what we chased. Shame photographing cars wasn't a thing, missed some corkers.
Sierra Cosworth, rode in never drove, Iconic.
Volvo T5 was ace, ran a DRV with a lovely cuddly Alsation in the back and a no nonsense dog handler, hell that on nights was just epic, fast car fast dog 🔥🫡

3 litre Z3 pretending to be Italian exotica. Two previous E89 Z4s.

I forgot I had a Mondeo ST24 (estate) back in 2002 with the 2.5 duratec. It was a dog of a car. Slow and drank fuel. I used to say it turned petrol into noise and fumes; nothing else.
No pictures of that one, luckily.

I found some older pictures. My 1100 Katana, very few of these were ever made, with wire wheels , smooth bore carbs and not CV's , big bore pipes and and other engine tweaks, braided lines, primarily only put together in sufficient quantity to qualify as a production race bike.
Hate to think what its worth now, at the time it cost me 8000 grand near new. Purchased from Coleman's as one of a handful that were not raced. Quite a head turner in its day. A few fake ones have been available from time to time, but the full fairing is extremely rare.

My Mustang, 1979 , fitted with a 351 Windsor as opposed to the standard 302. sitting behind my 81 Carolla, also modded to 2 liter DOHC, rather than the factory 1600 SOHC.
