Paintless dent removal

Dave if it is not shutting then you will need to work out if it is not shutting due to it being to far forward or to far back for it to latch, move it towards you and see if that improves if not then start adjusting it backwards, i am afraid it is trial and error untill you get it to latch.. But just do it a bit at a time.
It does latch bill and cleanly but if you don't slam it it won't latch. When we were messing with it we got it the best it had been since the body shop but like you say small adjustments must be able to improve it further. It was fine before the car was stripped.

If it is latching with a firm push then move it slightly towards the bottom of the boot lid

Thanks for info, I have a couple of dents on mine on the door. Think that's a great idea - your fella is a bit far from down south but there is a guy local to here who is ex body shop doing dent removal. His testmoninals and pics are impressive so think I'll give him a whirl when I have some cash.

Does it shut flush? i have seen in the odd car some plastic type shims fitted between the body and the latch it sounds like its in the right place but the lid is fitting hard against the seal a shim/ washer should make it latch with out the force and still remain flush ...its gonna be trial and error by the sounds of it.

Its certainly a cheaper way to remove those dents that niggle you than going down the paint /body shop route.

Yeah it sits square and true. Just gonna have to fiddle with it until I get it right.
