Going on from the "what engine size thread" a few things have raised their heads for me, such as Vanos seals and cam sensors, now I am happy with my 2.0l but it seems pretty flat unless driven very hard, it comes alive for the last 1500 revs and pulls like a train, what should I look at first or is this a characteristic of the engine,

The 2.0 does need to be driven quite hard, or rather mine did! I did find adding an induction kit and sport exhaust back box made it more drivable. No real gain in power, just that the engine could breathe better and would Rev a bit more consistently through the Rev range. Iwas going to get a remap as well but didn't get round to it.

Hi Sean I was talking to ant on t-Tony's meet on Sunday about throttle body and manifold conversation still investigating will let you know when I find out more cheers Tony.

Hi Yocky, if you get anywhere with this I'd be interested too, mind my 2.0Ltr seems to go well from about 3000 rpm

I've done induction and exhaust they both gave additions but my stage1 remap changed the cars characteristics loads and has smoothed out the power delivery and the car is loads of fun whilst if driven sedately is very economical.
