My E85 had a perfectly good radio/cd player which was quite easy to set up and use. For some reason best known to BMW they fitted a different radio to the E89. I can't see that it does anything different or better than the one in the E85, but the operating instructions are akin to Encyclopedia Brittanica. Needlessly complicated is an understatement, why ???
Can it be replaced with a simpler radio ? One from an E85 or anything ? I'll gladly throw the one from my E89 in the bin.:banghead::oops:

They like to show how smart they are Ken by making simple things difficult, can't better an old Sharp stereo with a pointer on a bit of string running around a tuning knob.
Everythjng now has gone looney, life is so stupidly complex, can't even get served in a shop anymore (except a certain shop with a name begining in M and and the second part begining in S) as they expect you to do their job for them.
