As per @Antm72

It looks totally wrong in the picture for a zed fitting. As mentioned you may get it work but i remember some of my older cars that had a metal ring at carpet level that an elasticated bottom looped round you may be better speaking to andy @spurs fan in a coupe and getting one from a zed he will have a few as he's breaking a couple

When I renewed mine which was oem it had a solid square Base with the clips attached. That's obviously why Geoff has been getting confused with what I've been saying. The one you have there looks wrong to me mate unless you have to transfer stuff over.

The one that I have got was listed as being ok for the Z3 so matbe as it was a cheap one no base plate is supplied. I will investigate with care and let you know hoe I get on

Gentlemen
Success, after seeing pic from Low Rider as you say easy to remove, had to ease old gaiter off plastic where it was stuck on, cleaned it up and stretched the new one over and push back into position tucking the new one in as elasticated. Job done, but it does not look as tidy as the old one but it will bed in with use. A BIG thank you to one and all.
Re coding my remote (brick) purchased on Ebay on Monday (another post)
