Finally got round to installing roll bars. Simple and fun job. Anyone interested in a non roll bar wind deflector including brackets and trims?

I agree with @Low Rider looks much better with hoops
That's why I fitted some on mine, makes for a more roadsterish look .

Yes I like roll hoops too :p
Gives the Z the finished touch ;)

I like the zed fitted with its hoops looks like somethings missing when you see them with out.
Nice job

What's actually involved in fitting the hoops? Is it really a simple DIY job? Agree the car looks better and would obviously feel safer...

There are some tutorials on here to cover most things, the rest can be found on the web. It is a fairly straight forward job couple of hours tops, @spurs fan in a coupe may be able to help with parts.

Not too bad at all. See attachment. Should give you an idea of what's involved. I think it took me around 4 hours.

If you buy the S/S chrome roll bar (2 hoops joined) push fit is very tight and you only have to enlarge the holes on top of seat belt retractor housing which is what I have fitted to mine.

Took me about 4 hours rather than 2 as well. If buying a complete kit from a breaker make sure you get all plastics and all screws/fixings.

You are so right. When I bought my bar I asked for roll hoops with all the body parts, what came was a roll bar with only some body parts but were the one that I already had on my car which proves that breakers do not always know what they are selling. I got a very good refund and kept the parts which I cant find anyone who wants them so might take to the scrap yard as taking up storage room.

Hi Jim
Not to sure what you want. The only parts that I have are the storage box complete and the side sections that are below the seat belt box retracter area. I have piucs on the for sale section. If they are what you want they are yours. Geoff

Jim, if it is the top parts that contain the belt retracters there are some one the Net site for £10 Geoff

Hi Geoff. What I require are the two metal pieces which the Inner hoop bars fit into and that bolt to the framing inside the centre box. The small rectangular trims fit on top of these parts. Hope that makes sense! JIM

Hi Jim no only got plastic bits spurs fan might have some or a breaker
