Being of the slightly mechanically challenged kind, I am contemplating if it's possible to fit roll over hoops to Reggie.
So questions are:
1, will they fit? it's a Aug 98 2.8. There are two caps in the top of the plastic panel.
2, what sort of cost would be involved? Would be happy with a good used set. This won't be happening over night as I'm changing jobs so need to watch the pennies for a couple of months.

Cheers
Dave

My car is the same as yours and I fitted a second hand set that I got from @spurs fan in a coupe. You will need to plastic too if you get the OEM hoops. Took me about hour and half to fit them.

There was a set advertised for £150 a couple of days ago and that's a great price

Forgot to add, you can get a set of "show hoops" too that don't require new plastics

Thanks @Jack Ratt when you say plastics? I have the OEM plastic glove boxes. Other thing is would it affect my OEM mesh wind deflector?

You have to change the OEM glove box but if you buy it from Andy you'll get everything you need. You'll have to change your wind deflector too, but I kept mine and just velcroed it on

You say show hoops? I assume they are purely for show? I'm wanting to fit them for the safety aspect rather than for asthetics. Obviously I do want them to look good.

Be interesting to see how you get on @Grumpy, mines the same as yours I think and it's something I'd be interested in doing next year.

This is what you will have to change out.

Are thanks h/t. That makes things a bit clearer. Somewhere in the back of my mind I'm sure I read not all the older cars can house them?

That looks like the set I had from Andy. Everything is there and it will fit your car.

Were the center turrets already on your car or did you have to use the ones you got from Spurs?
My car wasn't fitted with them. I fitted the parts I got from Andy

There are cars where you have to weld the centre anchor points to the chassis because there are no bolt holes if I remember right. These bits aren't plentiful and will only get rarer so @Grumpy and @Andy McDonnell i wouldn't hang around if you want some.

Tony.

ps. The only fly in the ointment of course is getting the right colour for your interior.

I'd thought that with the plastics @t-tony but mine is a pretty bog standard colour so wouldn't have thought it'll be to much if a problem. Is there any easy way to found if I have the chassis holes without stripping everything down?
