Me and Kim are planning a 4 night stay on Loch Tay and plan on doing the following days out on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before heading back home on the Friday.
Can any of the guys up that way tell me if the routes i have chosen to do are worth doing and or suggest any other good routes.

These are good routes that you will enjoy, yes there are plenty others but that's a good reason to come back. Have you planned what month

Yes going mid July. Will be our first visit to Scotland. Will be travelling up Sunday and staying around Gretna which should give us time during Monday to take in some extra sights before getting to the Log Cabin

We stayed at Milton Morenish log cabins a good few years ago on Loch Tay. Once you are up there go into any of the hotels and pick up information leaflets on what's in the area.

On my iPad just now so difficult to see the detail but the routes look fine, there are some great roads and beautiful scenery on the roads you have chosen, I live a few miles away near Killin, a great place to base yourself.

All great routes
Your 2nd route is all but day 1 of this years Scottish run.
Around south end of Loch Lomond
Route 3 between 5 and 6 can be fairly busy on a nice day in July but your route doesn't follow the A82 up the side of Loch Lomond thats the busiest area so shouldn't be too bad
Dont forget the ' midge ' spray early morning late afternoon and evening you will be needing it.

Gretna has a good outlet village. I always spend a fortune in Ralph Lauren :)

Buy a couple of decent citronella candles from your local hardware or garden centre and light them at night when you are sitting out on your porch having a sherry helps keep the midges at bay. Have a good and safe trip.

Enjoy we stayed in a cottage on the north coast of loch Tay many years ago and saw the log cabins lol it inspired us to put ours up .its a lovely place the loch one side and Ben lawers on the other ,walked to the top (it's further than it looks) luckily when we got back down there was a pub ;)

The Cairngorms route is a stunner, did it last year and doing again in August,

Well after much deliberation with Kim we have decided not to do Scotland in July. We are now going to the Black Forest in Germany
