Great news Andy think you will really enjoy this years run some of Scotland's best scenery on offer .

Rain just makes it ' atmospheric ' and maybe wet .
But rain cancelled for test weekend :D

HI... We really loved this last year so can you provisionally put me and the lad down for this - I will try and formalise next week. Cheers Bert

It's fully booked - don't let him :ymdevil:

Just jokin' - look forward to seeing you and some parts of Scotland I've not seen since I was in a cot on the back shelf of a VW camper van :nurse:

A warning about "foreigners" driving on the wrong side of Skye's roads has just been on Reporting Scotland.

Just beware that you may go around a corner and find someone driving on the right.

Hi Bert sorry meant to deal with this sooner but with lakes run and other things slipped my mind .

PM sent.

Day 2 will be a run to applecross ( 3 rd highest paved road in UK stunning views out to Skye ) then a bit if the North coast 500 then loop back round back to hotel ..

I'm doing a run round Scotland at the end of May and going to be passing thru Kyle of Lochalsh, attached is my first days run from Greenock to Gairloch as you see waypoint 9 seems to be at the start of your road to Applecross is that correct ?
And is it worth the detour to your point A and then onto B before picking up my original route at your point E.

Thank you for the route mate, is this a good road, worth doing ?

I have no idea. Google Streetview will give you an idea, but you can test it for us and report back before we do it in September .

My main concern is traffic. Most of the roads look like you need the co-operation of the car you are trying to pass.

I am still very tempted, Steve, but at the moment, the prospects aren't looking that good when I really consider everything else I have to take into account. I'll follow your arrangements and see what happens over the next month or so, and if the place is still available and it fits into place, all well and good, but if not, it's my loss ! If you do go through Glencoe, keep up a reasonable speed with the windows well up and definitely don't stop - the gnats were bloody awful . . . . otherwise stunning !

Steve, I was in touch a month or so ago about joining you, and you expressed reservations but that it could be possible. If the single room is still available at the hotel you are all staying at, please could you count me in and I'll settle whatever deposit by return. Things have settled down to enable me to join you if it is still on for me to do so. I shall not be worried if the opportunity has gone though ! Hope to hear from you soon. Andrew
