Sean d progress thread

I'm going to have to stick to the originals for a while as the family come first and there is a holiday to pay for and probably a few zed meets as well.

Got another 5 hours in today, mainly tinkering and stuff, I like tinkering, its gets all those little niggley things done. I sorted the corrosion on the hood as well, I did it wet on wet, acid etch, primer, structure build, base black and finished with mat lacquer,

Cheers guys, I'm going in on Saturday to paint the bumpers and mirrors, whilst there I will bake the car one last time and then it will be ready for its final polish, once thats done I can then fit the last remaining bits, oh and then refurb the wheels

Thanks Sean. I have enjoyed reading your account so far. You can't beat a Zed in blue!

Cheers,

Jonno

Cheers Jonno, I have thoroughly enjoyed keeping it going and reading the feedback, its just a shame Christmas got in the way

Christmas building Lego though is pretty good.I almost bought myself some as my three lads are too old for it, they say.

Looks really good Sean, wont be long before you're taking Mrs Sean out for a drive. Hope to see you on a cruise this year.

Cheers Dave, we are planning on a couple and will most likely make the Lakes our first. Is there some sort of weird initiation as we will be cult Virgins :D

No initiation apart from the singing but newbies normally buy everybody on the cruise their meals and drinks:whistle::D

OK Dave that's fine as long as you don't mind sharing a bag of chips and a coke

She certainly looks happy with it Sean. Maybe you'll be able to make it over to Torksey in September? Totally transformed the car from the last time I saw it mate.:)

Tony.

I'm planning on some mini meets before September Tony, as soon as things warm up I'm hoping we can meet up for a cruise and lunch.

I'll keep you posted mate, there's been a few here since September.

Wow, good results. I have a small amount of corrosion there, nothing like the amount you had, that really is a cracking job.
