Seat tilt, Safe?

Hi All I did the seat tilt with coupler nuts and bolts with some washers. Feels loads better but is it safe? Would a smaller lift of 5 mm using the original bolt and nut be better. I've seen the various kits. What are your thoughts? Thanks

I had a car that had been modified in a similar way to yours but was advised that the solution was not safe. As a result I purchased a set of seat lifters from @Southernboy and did a comparison in my ownership thread.

The ones I've seen for sale state side say they are for race use only and not road use although that may be purely because they don't want to get sued in the event of a failure?

I have a set from Southernboy that I bought about 5 years ago … good design ,, but postage from South Africa was steep.

I need another set for my 2.8 but I will ask my mate who is an engineer, if he can make a set for me on the lathe in his shed
