We spoke to the other confirmed weekenders yesterday on your run about a meal out on Saturday night if you fancy it. Anything except a curry since colb cannot even bare to be in the same room as one.

Good news/bad news situation regarding the museum. I can't get reserved car parking, annoyingly on that particular day the reserved parking is already taken. That is the bad news. :(

Here comes the good news:party:. For you enthusiasts out there, I can get us on board the Nimrod and arrange a tour of the inside of the aircraft. You'll find out what all of the kit on board does and what the crews used to get up to. The cost will be £5 per person. If I am to do this I need confirmation of timings because they can only do groups of 6 at a time. What time will we be arriving at Cosford? @Lazzzydog .
 
Thanks for enquiring peteslag. Bad news about the bad news. We may need to reconsider if we do actually end the run at Cosford if we cannot all park up as a group. I do not have the 2nd part of the run worked out yet so cannot give an accurate time of arrival at Cosford. Things can very easily go wrong on the day so we may not get there exactly at any planned time. How critical is it that we arrive on the dot of whatever time we are allocated?
If we do still go ahead with the original plan to end at Cosford how many attendees will take up the tour of the Nimrod for £5. I will open a separate thread in Forthcoming Events to gauge interest.

I can arrange slots for any time you need. If we are planning to arrive at 14:00 (for example) I would arrange the first slot for 14:45 to give a bit of flex.

Parking wise, if we park in the bays furthest away from the entrance we should still all get together.
 
Hi Tony, as discussed with you at the Wye Valley, as your cruise clashes with the Lakes Cruise we have had to make a decision. As Mrs Mint didn't get to do the Lakes Cruise the last time I went, we are going to do that next year. Will join you on another one I'm sure, it's a pity as I quite fancied the NIMROD tour. Maybe next time;)
 
The date clash is unfortunate but as you say there will be other cruises. Enjoy the Lakes.
 
I would defifnitely like to do the Nimrod tour, I hope we do end up at Cosford as that was one of the attractions to me.
 
Yes we will still finish at Cosford. Peteslag has put my mind at rest regarding the parking and there is a choice of indoor or outdoor dining plus some amazing static aircraft displays so it is still Plan A.
 
I'll check with other half but we could both come up sat night. My birthday. He goes to JDC event and I'll come for run then meet up with him at Cosford. Lol
 
I have nowhere booked for the meal yet but I have The Swan Inn at Wynbunbury in mind as some Zedders are stopping over in Crewe, some in Wem and others at The Four Alls near Market Drayton.
The Swan also do rooms in motel like outbuildings at the rear. I have never seen inside the rooms but if they are up to the standard of the food they should not disappoint.

Ok. May stay a little further south so other half doesn't have so far to go to Cosford in the morning. Will check with him later
