UPDATE on what i am doing for the Silverstone Festival car club stand .....

All Health and safety forms submitted and now phoning around for our clubs Public Liability insurance which is required again this year
 
Anyone coming down on the Thursday are welcome to my home in Aylesbury for a car cleaning session as i will be making mine look glam for the weekend :thumbsup:
 
Not be long now, looking forward to the annual pilgrimage.
Looks like we will have a good display

I can see Rob T is on the list but I think I am no longer on the list, I think Rob T and Robtp10 are both attending
 
Put something into the kitty for the PL insurance. Looking forward to Olly on Sunday ...
 
Well, we had a plan!
Silverstone for the Weekend before heading off to France for 3 weeks. Alas, plans sometimes have to change and that is all cancelled.
Early June and we were taking a short break in south-west Scotland and before we even got to the hotel my wife had a fall and broke her pelvis in 2 places, ending up with a 8 day stay in Dumfries Hospital. Not quite the "break" we had in mind.
We were hopeful that we would still be able to get to Silverstone but recent trial runs in the car have shown that the 5-6 hour journey would be far too much and we have decided to cancel.
I bought Silverstone tickets for the full weekend and it looks like they can be transferred to a "friend". If anybody would like them, or knows somebody that would please DM me and we can sort out details.
We have already pencilled in a trip to Silverstone for 2025, so keeping fingers crossed.

Cheers. I must admit I hadn’t spotted your location until after I had sent the message - doh.

As you say its good to have someone local. Im often in the Consett area as my in laws are in Blackhill so you might well see me around the streets in nice weather of course. Or heading on towards Cumbria.

We were 18 last year with the BMW car club on 19 if the grey cells remember correctly. anybody remember the max number that turned up on any given day?
 
I think we were actually on zone 19 which incorporated both the BMWCC and Z3 Roadster & Coupe stands as remember having to direct traffic from early on Friday for people to come on the stand at the roundabout between zones 18 & 19. The access to our stand was the entrance indicated on the road between 19 & 20.

It will be interesting to see where we are set up on the new zone, maybe BMBabe might know where we will be?

I know the area but unfortunately we are not next to BMWCC which I did request
 
Insurance all renewed for £100.80 pence
