My zed got egged two weekends in a row now. Fortunately both times only one egg. It is really frustrating and it leaves marks on the paint.

Any idea what I can do? Is it worth calling the police?

Yes call the police I bet it's a neighbour.
Fit CCTV even if it's a dummy camera.

You should report the events to get them on record. There may be others suffering similar things or you may be being targeted. Are you parked on a road or drive way?

I've just reported it to the Thames valley Police using their online form. It's parked on the road. It certainly seems that I am tageted because I haven't seen any other cars being egged.

Moved mine to another spot. To see if it persists. So annoying

Does a lot of damage, my sons car got egged while driving, it hit the centre of the bonnet, had to be repainted.......!

Get a car cover and get your zed covered up each night, I know it a pain getting cleaned before the cover goes on each time but its your only option.
Have some eggs ready and throw them at the little s**ts!!!!

I would be incredibly annoyed by this too. And I think I would report it to the Police. I'm sure you'll give them a piece of your mind if you catch them. If they decided to pick on someone more vulnerable like an elderly person it could be a lot more distressing.

Someone keyed my Alhambra a few years back. All 4 side panels. 2-3 seconds action. £1,000 to repair. The Police were surprisingly attentive and sent someone out.

I would get a good quality IP security cam and record the street. These are cheap now and easy to set up and can alert you on your phone or computer.

It's really annoying........... :(
I had a car about 15 years ago that go egged :(
It was hard to remove and it make a small dent in the car too
Hope you get the person that's doing it :)

I think a cheap cctv type camera would be my answer. Our house was egged once on Trick or Treat night. We were not in, but the mess was terrible to clean up, especially from the brickwork. Power washer was required in the end.

Massively annoying.
The telling thing is that its happened at the weekend. If it were someone with a grudge its more likely to happen any night of the week. Probably someone whose had a few sherbets and on the way home. Is there are convenience store nearby? Often these useless pieces of skin buy eggs to use just beforehand. Ask the shop keeper if they've had repeated late night purchases of eggs.

An IP camera that sends images and/or video to a networked drive and/or emails them. I've had one overlooking the cars on the drive for quite a few years. You can set the sensitivity so it only triggers on movement in certain parts of the image. However, because its on the street theres likely to be lots of movement.

A bit more expensive - a GoPro with a massive memory card and external battery pack to sit tucked away in the car recording constantly (switch the LEDs off). Or, a sleepless night just sat there watching.

Alternatively, time for a Dakar respray
