Has anyone upgraded the speakers behind the seats in a Z3.

I'm looking at doing this but don't want to have to "open up" the hole. Hopefully I can find some better speakers that can just swap with OEM's

I wouldn't be too hopeful finding a speaker that actually makes any noise that is the same size as the OEM (at a sensible price).
They are rather tiny speakers back there! BMW do have a sense if humour sometimes..

I have the Harmon Kardon 'upgrade' and the amount of wires in there makes you think I have home cinema system in there:

I've just replaced the rears with these http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-in-phase-sxt1035_p-32231.htm

I had to clip out the plastic spider behind the speaker grill, but they fit well and sound better
