Looking at options for front and maybe rear braces.
I don't track that car or anything but haven't had a car with braces on before so more of an ooh shiny moment.
Strongstrut is rather damn expensive so wondering what other decent brands exist within the UK markets that aren't over the top.

E-tech do a front one, however can't find a match rear one. Suggestions!

There are a few options depending on what you want to pay. There are usually some unbranded ones on eBay for the 6 pots, or companies like Weichers produce them.

Rear braces tend to be harder to find, Grumpy has a Strong Strut brace coming off his car at some stage.

Under normal driving the braces are just bling really. The Z3 is pretty sorted generally for fast road use. You may be missing the rigid Z4 chassis I guess ;) Your generally better off putting the money into fresh suspension bits!

I think I am half after the shiny metal to polish :D
I will have to keep an eye out for @Grumpy selling it then :D

Grumpy has a Strong chassis/body brace not a strut brace. All being well it's coming off this weekend but it may be spoken for?

Tony.

Ah fair enough!
Bertini seems to be the only other rear top brace I've found so far... hesitant on that one though as no clue if any good.

Can't help you there mate, maybe @Rha might be able to throw some light on them for you.

Tony.

Hi @Disca, the Bertini braces are good quality and I have both rear top and bottom, Paul M has given you the link to @Anthony Cherry who has them manufactured and sells them at very reasonable prices. Give him a ring and I'm sure he'll be able to help. Probably be the only rear top brace you'll be able to find.

@Disca
Here's a couple of pics I've managed to find of my Chromiumtech front strut bar and the Bertini top rear strut bar,the rear bottom strut bar I've not got any pics of.

I have a strut brace on as well as the strong strut body brace but I'm only removing the body brace. The strut brace is staying where it is.

I think you will find when it's off it's in three pieces and you can fit the rear section in effect as a rear brace. It's the same thing but but with a couple of extra bits.

From their website.

Body-Brace installation is a simple bolt on application with one bolt front and rear. The front utilizes the OEM bolt for the factory "X" brace (we supply a longer bolt) and the rear bolts to the rear Strong-Strut which is required for installation.

I don't know Gaz. I'll drop a pic on when it's off which should be Saturday if the snow doesn't ruin the plans.

Just updated my post with the information from their website. I tend to know what I'm talking about

Possibly sold mate but nothing firm as yet, do have a second interested party as well.

Like a lot of so called up grades, I like the look of mine

Thanks for the response @Rha. Will look into it. I like what looks like a conversion of the rear storage thing to a subwoofer also!

If you don't do track days you don't need this kit IMHO

I fully agree, but they look pretty and gives me something else to make shiny and clean under the engine bay.

@Paul Rice which one do you have?

i wouldnt bother with a top rear strut brace as the towers are connected by a big sheet of metal anyway

It looks nice though, which is partly the aim of fitting both braces, the car isn't driven hard enough to get the full benefits.
