Roof down most of the way but road works near Strasbourg slowed me down to a halt in a down pour; roof down and drown? Roof up it was for a couple of hours out of 8.

27.4 mpg again so happy with that. Oh, I love this car, did I mention she purred like a cat =))

Last leg done and home. 2172.2 miles of pure bliss. Roof up from Folkstone until I'd cleared the Smoke and the Magic Roundabout then it was roof down for 300 miles of which 210 were in the rain! Dry from Scotch Corner to home, blue skies as soon as I got to Cumbria.

The big Autoglym session starts tomorrow, she needs it :arghh: Until the next time :D

End of broadcast and thanks for reading
:thankyou:

What a great trip Andy. Good read too:thumbsup:

And on a side note, my last Merc was a Mercedes C230 V6, could not be bothered to work out what all the bells & whistles did on the thing and traded it in for my Z.
I was just reading through this thread and it's the first time I realized that when everyone is speaking about their "Merc" they're talking about a Mercedes. On this side of the pond a "Merc" is a Mercury. eg............

2011 Mercury Grand Marquis
I kept thinking 'Gee, I didn't know Mercs were so popular over there'. Stupid me.
