Found THIS on Ebay but seller thinks will not fit a prefacelift 1999 model....were they suddenly a different design by facelift?...
 
Yes true face-lift and pre face-lift high level brake lights are different and not interchangeable.

By the way if you're wanting to add something to the centre brake light appearance I have some overlay decals which do the job.
