Ok, I think the answer is inevitable on this one.

Accelerate from stationary, car doesn't accelerate as expected but revs rise, car shudders. At the moment only seems to happen in 1st and 2nd.

Anything else it could be, rather than me having to shell out for a new one?

Sounds like the pressure plate Gaz :(. Sorry bud.

*sighs* Will have to nurse it for as long as I can before changing. Need this like a hole in the head
Keep off the revs gaz, it'll go for a bit longer yet.

I could get you a good discount on a clutch kit Gaz from ECP or Andrew Page. I'm sure we could get it from up here to down there some how. I know a friendly truck driver. ;)

Tony.

Lol! Would that be me?? Can a clutch withstand -25!

Can't be that cold in your cab................... can it?;);)

Mostly if the flywheel surface is good, you would re-use it as is. Ford transits first came out with dual mass in late 2001 but they were very weak and soon suppliers offered a kit with single mass to replace it. Most diesels have dual mass and usually need replacing because they're dropping to pieces, often before the clutch is worn out. I'm not a fan of dual mass at all.
