Giday everyone..
hope your all doing ohkay and having a blast where ever you may roam from. Ive been based in Dubai for the last 15 years or so, after a stint in NZ, Christchurch and before that pretty much in Oz, east coast.. Sydney ,mostly..
ive owned quite a few zeds over the years, a bunch of Z3’s, and a few Z4’s (currently still own a Z4GT3) which is probably the only thing that’s coming back to Oz with me after we leave this place, aside from the missus and kids that is ofcourse.
couple of coupes, and a few roadies, z3 wise that is, which I’ve all moved on for one reason or another, the last one I had was a silver z3 3.0 2002 auto model.. which I quite liked.. and had a hardtop. Which I had done extensive work on. (Might see if I can dig up a few pics if required) anyways, I got asked to sell it by some dude, and at the time, I thought why not..
well it’s been a few years since then and now I’ve got the itch again..
this time it’s a 2000 2.0 manual Alpine Wei’s white Roady with about 200k kms on the clock.. yeah that’s a lot.. basic inline 6 and shitty falling apart trim on the inside. aircon slightly shot, though the current owner is pretty convinced that it’s just the evaporator is nuked.. no biggie.. I think…
needs a full suspension rebuild and also front control arms, tie rod ends and gowd only knows what bushes are rooted.. probably all of them.. rear the same, center carrier bearing shot duck and full bushes required for the diff.
new engine/tranny mounts i still had from the last z3 and a bunch of other parts ordered…
and then the story goes slightly south..
this morning at 7am I was at the motor registry to transfer ownership into my name. And then it failed the road worthy… tie rod ends and engine oil leak on top of some other minor crappy things..
sigh… so that did dent happens, and normally at this stage, I’d walk away from it.. however that little white zed is calling my name.. I can hear it.. even now as I am typing this.. it’s calling my name..
so ill stand by the current owner and wait until he’s had the oil leak fixed, the rest I can do myself..
and yet, still it’s calling my name..
this should have been such a clear case of f*** it, walk away, not looking back (power ranger style) while the thing goes up in a huge ball of flames and explosions behind me. (You seeing the picture?)

but I didn’t,…
anyways, well met everyone.. nice to meet youse.
