Not sure yet @Cooper ... I haven't had a chance to test them.

However I've thought of a pretty darn clever way to incorporate a mesh centre deflector.

David, is it based on the pull down mesh window covers that are used on the side and rear glass as in a window blind? I have four across my front window in my home to block the sun in summer. I'll try to send you a pic in a PM tomorrow if I get a chance. If so could work out! Keep at it, you'll figure it out! JIM
 
How did this work it in the end?
...like many of my ideas, @Dino, it went on the back burner!

I've recently found the ideal mesh roller to use and they can be picked up fairly inexpensively, so I think I will look into it some more. The main problem I can foresee is how to keep the deflector firmly in position and tailoring it to fit the roll hoops.
