What do i need to scan my car?

Hi,

Years ago I fixed an adapter and a Bluetooth module for my Z, also got some generic mobile app which I've forgotten about.

Plain and simple. I want to be able to read everything that's possible. What options do I have?

Plug it into the round diagnostic socket in the engine bay, it will read all modules on the car. If you have a 16pin obd2 socket under the steering wheel that will only read engine and transmission modules.

I have the C410 Creator. Don't know the difference between the two TBH but it's cheap from this seller

and even my daughter's R56 Mini. Which is useful as there is ALWAYS something wrong with that POS.

Is there much you can do with Bimmercode and/or -Link on the Z3? I have them for my daily, but never even tried them on the Z3
