This may seem like a stupid question to some, but can some one tell me the difference between a wide body Z3 and possibly what is not because unless I can see them side by side I can't tell.
 
There you go mate, a wider track, about 36mm I think though I stand to be corrected?

Just to confuse all Z3M are pre-facelift wide body as in middle picture.
 
Is the wide body prefacelift wider than the wide body post facelift or the same?
 
The 'original' 2.8 is the widest, I believe by a few mm, as someone mentioned on here on another thread.
Facelift isn't quite the word - it was more of an ass lift!

@Antm72 told me the pre-facelift wide body is about 4 inches wider than facelift cars. Look on page 4 of this section, second item down under the heading 'widths'. :thumbsup:

Ooooooooooh, now there's a question that'll get some answers. The post face lift boys and girls would argue otherwise, but for me personally, yes :D Subtle differences in styling and obviously more power from the 3.0 Z3 but pays your money and takes your chance. Each to their own (2.8 is the best :D)

said it before the mark 1 wide bodied shape is the best :) that's on the 2.8 and z3m so mak

deffo wide bodied 2.8 z3m shape is best but as gaz said its been mentioned a few times :)
 
Thank you for the replies. I'm not biased (don't own a ZR) but personally much prefer the 2.8 pre face lift shape. Likely reminds me of my S50 MR owned in the past (so on reflection might be biased!). Every mother prefers their own baby.

Yep, the best Zed is the Zed that you own.
