Bargain good find

I have used a few outdoor covers in the past, and they get saturated and eventually let the water through. Are the expensive covers 100% waterproof? How do they cope with windy situations?

I have a genuine Z3 cover which dId let water through so I cling filmed the Zed put the cover on the car and then sprayed water proof protection over the cover just wished I'd used a better quality of spray.

I understand the storm force covers have a strap which goes underneath the car and clips to the other side.

I've got one. Bought it from the local Aldi store earlier this year.Used it as a temporary cover whilst I was working on the suspension and brakes. It is not that bad,did the job but will eventually let the water in as it gets really saturated. For £10 it is a useful buy but you get what you pay for.
I've now got something special on order, will be here in a couple of weeks!

Stormforce has double straps with plastic protectors against scratching plus mirror gloves and strong elastic. On the odd occasion of high winds stayed in place so although far more expensive than the last cover i had for anyone like me with no garage personally think the £141 is money well spent

I have a stormforce cover I purchased last year but I've never opened the box

I've got a stormforce on at the moment and a larger £40 lined cover over the top.

The stormforce is OK, it's a nice tight fit prevents chaffing and the covers over the twin straps are good. It's not super tough though... I managed to catch mine on the top corner of my bonnet. It got hooked up after opening my bonnet, tearing a small hole :banghead: I repaired it easy enough with a bit of gaffer tape.

I bought mine 2nd hand for £65 from a chap who had used it for 1 winter up in Fort William. He said it had performed very well against the elements.

It's supposedly breathable, one thing that doesn't seem so good is the length. seems a bit short hence why I've double bagged mine.

Thankfully I'm renting a garage soon so I can put it to bed properly ;)

i bought one in aldi too... my mate bought one for his MG and i thought it would be good to keep the dust off when its parked in dah garage... fits well but ideally need to take the aerial orff t make it fit better..

I got one too, just to use in the garage as car gets dusty and I have a robin that likes to roost above the bonnet, £10 is better then shooting the Robin, ;)
