Yet another question

Evenin' all. I've bought myself a double USB charger socket for the car, looks about the same size as the standard cigarette lighter, and I'm wondering if any of you know whether the curved plastic bit that the lighter socket fits into is a separate part from the centre console (aluminium type on mine)? If it is I can get another one and fit the USB bit to match the lighter. I know I could go out there and take the console out but it's cold. And dark.

Bit late replying, but the interweb is slow round here. The piece I was referring to is the small bit of black plastic that the lighter clips into, just shown as an oval bit in the corner of the horizontal part of the centre console. I guess it must be moulded in to the console. May have to buy another one and see if I can persuade it to become unmoulded.

Not sure if I have understood your question correctly but these may help ( they are for the 98 model, non smoker package, but I think yours will be the same)

2. Photo of cigarette lighter socket removed - trim ring insert still in position in console but it pushes out (from underside IIRC) the light bulb (second photo) fits into a slot on the insert
