Z3 ECU replacement

Hi Guys,

Due to an intermittent misfire, looks like I will have to replace my ECU ( 2001 Z3 with the M43B19tu 8v engine).

Anyone done this, and will it be a straight swop or will it need coding?

Have you considered getting your ECU repaired? Not long had mine done.
