Hi guys just bought myself a Z3. the guy who I bought the car off said he recently had a new rear screen fitted to the car. noticed today after having the top down that my rear window now has a crease in it. are there ways that I can get rid of the creases or will it disappear over time? cheers guys.

Hello mate, the crease is a result of folding the hood down. You can prevent it by putting a length of foam tubing in or similar when retracting the roof to prevent the creasing. Scratches can be polished out with products such as Greygate plastic polish. Depends how bad it is but if new it might polish out.

Hi @cooldude2284 look in B&Q or some such similar outlet, ask for water tube insulation tube.!!! we always used a tea towel to cove the back window when it was folded, it stops the window from scratching.

Check with a swiming pool accesories store, they are popular for people to use as floaters and pool toys, at least in the US.

A 1 meter length of 15mm pipe insulation sold in d.i.y stores and Plumbers merchants is what I use.

cheers guy. would it be possible for you guys to post a pic up of how I position it? thanks for your help guys really greatful x

You just push it into the natural fold of the screen.
Part lower the roof then push it in so it retains a curve not a crease.
My roofs been down since last weekend have just put it up and it crease free so it does work

will give this a go on mine.

if it is an actual crease, mine does this too, it goes after a couple of hours, even faster in the sun

Chees Jason. yeah noticed it this afternoon after having the top down also there are dimples on the screen from where the screws are where it folds?

could you post a pic next time you do it pal. I'm a noob. lol

i find its worse it i put the roof down while its warm (in the sun) it goes very soft and floppy a bit like rubber, then when it cools it retains the folded shape.

I use a bit of tube the youngsters have when learning to swim ,floatations Id I think
