Z3 side airbags?

Just wondering- Did any Z3 ever have side airbags? If so are they easy to retrofit?

Don’t want to, but may need to if I want to use it for work ‘business use’
 
My face-lift has them as an optional extra ( no passengers bag) hard to find the parts required ( door cards , air bags , mounting brackets and wiring) the currently as far as i know impossible to get round issue is you cant code them to the airbag module as its vin locked as myself and i know a few others would like to retro fit the passengers bag but you just never here of anyone doing it .

Yes..need new door cards as they are split and all the airbag gubbins. Think they were only on Facelift. Dunno if they would be plug and play though

Who is asking you to fit side airbags? The insurance company or your employer? I'm surprised either would have any clue about airbag fitment on a Z3. I've never seen that as an insurance form question before, on any cars that I have added business use. If it's the insurance company asking the question, change insurance company.

Probably the most bizarre question I have seen in 25 years of being on car forums, so well done.
