Z3 with Stop/Start Technology

I already need one Steve, I had to put a new clutch in an Isuzu 4WD yesterday, I'm still knackered and have hurt my back, after all I'm only 59 and the two others who could have done this were running scared, One too F...ing lazy and One too scared to get dirty and both only just over half my age. Ex Halfords To55ers.

Tony.
Sounds like you had a rough day there mate i imagine that was a heavy job. Be carefull with your back Tony i found out to my cost last year that if you don't in jobs such as ours it can cause a world of pain in many different forms :inpain:. I ended up with sciatica in my right leg mainly caused by me being stubborn and not asking for help lifting heavy things etc,the result was most of the year unable to work followed by an op with a 3month recovery time so now i'v learnt the hard way and still have to be realy careful...lecture over.

If you need your codes reading i have a code reader and am not far from you.

Forgot to mention i will be working at city hospital all week and can take it with me and meet you there if that is an option

Thank you for the offer Billz, unfortunately I will be working next week so will not be able to come to the hospital, but I shall keep your offer in mind.

On the subject of code readers, I was thinking of getting one myself at some point and wondered which is the best one to go for and are they expensive?

No they're not expensive, I can post a picture later and an eBay link.

Tony.

And once I receive mine I'll be there to provide moral support and Guinness! I don't mind sharing a room with Tony as long as the bar stocks Guinness!! lol JIM

Thanks to t-tony, I have purchased a code reader and tried it out on Eddie this evening. As suspected it threw up code P0340 - camshaft position sensor A / circuit bank 1 / or single sensor. Next job is to get a new inlet cam sensor ordered, fitted and then to reap the benefits! Thanks again Zedders, will keep you posted.

Good news Bryan, just today I received through the post an Airbag light re set tool. Not that my light is on (touch wood) but I thought I would get one. There doesn't appear to be as many people selling them now so got one while I could.

Tony.

Nice one Tony. Emailed Sopers with the part numbers the other day but they haven't got back to me, so will give them a ring tomorrow.

Oh, by the way Bryan, the lady who works at our place visited her daughter last weekend and told me she saw a guy in a blue Z3 in Farndon, so I'm guessing it was you. Her daughter has a red Z3.

Tony.

I guess that was me, not seen any other blue Zeds in Farndon, only seen a silver one parked outside the hairdressers!

New BMW inlet cam sensor fitted today, fault code reset, can't believe the difference, its like driving a totally different car! Worth every penny of the £99.01 I had to fork out!:scorecard:
