Event Torksey Lock Cruise and Lunch. 2023. September 10th.

We are booked in to the Staunton arms Staunton in the vale about half hour drive away. Stayed last weekend. You got to recce! Everything lovely, food great, nice ambience in the pub. Don't have the full full English tho, I missed off sausage and hash browns still too full! Couldn't miss the fried bread tho not aften you see that! Would recommend if your looking for somewhere. We are staying the Saturday before the Torksey lock run so light breakfast only!!! Cask ales and lots of parking.

I had a chat with Julie last Friday night and asked about lunch for the Sept. 10th. Cruise day. She told me that they will be happy to feed us as usual providing they're still at the pub. Her son has applied to the Brewery to take over the lease so all being well it will be the same people looking after us. IF by chance they won't be I will try to find somewhere local for lunch.

At the White Swan lunch will be as it was,

1. Sunday lunch with Beef (a), Pork (b), Turkey (c) or Ham (d). . . . . Choose 1a, 1b, 1c or 1d.
2. Fish and Chips.
3. Scampi and Chips.
4. Steak Pot Pie and Chips.

A range of sweets are available on the board.

So please have a think and let me know which you would like to order for your lunch. Remember that you pay on the day after you've eaten so nothing to lose by choosing now. Thank you.
